About Me

Hello, my name is Cameron Strickland and I’m a senior at the University of South
Carolina. I’m originally from Charleston, South Carolina, and I went to Hanahan High
School. I first developed a love for communications while studying abroad in Barcelona,
Spain, and I decided to change my major shortly after that experience. I was also part of a
The Professional Communications fraternity called Zeta Phi Eta. During my first couple of years
at USC, I worked as a Bumble Campus Brand Ambassador. That job was challenging but
also really exciting because it allowed me to plan and run events, connect with different
student organizations, and gain hands-on experience in marketing.
My main goal is to either be a flight attendant or work in the sales field. I really enjoy
meeting new people and building real connections, and I want a career where I can help
others and make their day better. I like jobs that keep me on my toes and don’t feel the
same every day. Through my classes and the experiences I’ve had so far, I’ve realized how
much I enjoy communicating with people, solving problems, and working in fast-paced
settings. I know these skills will help me no matter which path I end up taking, and I’m
excited to see where they lead me.
In my ePortfolio, I included an artifact that represents an important part of my
journey. It reflects my growth as a student and shows the effort I’ve put into becoming
more confident in my work. Throughout my time at USC, I have built projects, completed
assignments, and created content that helped me understand the media world from
different angles. Each piece in this portfolio highlights something I learned along the way.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction, and I hope you enjoy exploring the
rest of my work
